HI RJ, I don't think it's a bad thing that the ears stand up. I don't think it would be good if I wanted to show him. He looks more like a Border Collie than an Aussie. I have come to really like them up. They really show his expressions and feelings. I can tell when he hears something, they turn in different directions. When he has done something bad, which isn't very often, they go back. When he is sad, they go halfway down sideways. Whwn he's excited they're straight up, but then, he's jumping all over the place too. Ears up or down, he's my best buddy and we are together all the time. He's still my Aussie no matter what. He will be 2 at the end of this month and the ears are still up. I hope I answered rour question. You can read his story about his first 6 months on my hub page. . I also have one with a more recent picture on a hub I wrote about my feelings on pet adoptions. . As for the ears standing straight up, I have no idea why. I just accept it and still love him.

But i was wondering.. ... about the ears~ this is the second time now that i have seen aussie ears stand up like this~ is this a bad thing or just something that just happens sometimes?
